We created Buck Up for Bikes in 2016 to support non-profit grassroots partner organizations developing the next generation of cyclists. When booking with Bikeflights, everyone has the option to donate a buck, or more, to support the future of cycling. Bikeflights collects and covers the costs of processing donations, making sure that every dollar donated goes directly to the partner organizations. We also cover all costs of administering and publicizing the program.

To date, we’ve raised more than $121k+ to work toward a more inclusive cycling community. Our goal is that people of all racial and gender identities and economic backgrounds can experience the joy and benefits of biking, as individuals and a community. A buck donated today will pay dividends in a better future with more riders.

NICA

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) - NICA develops mountain biking programs for youth and communities across the United States and (as of spring 2021) supports over 23,000 student-athletes in developing strong minds, bodies, character and communities. Experiences had through mountain biking can help youth develop a sense of self worth and teamwork that will impact their lives both on and off the bike. Through its core values of fun, inclusivity, equity, respect and community, NICA envisions a future where every youth is empowered to be part of a thriving and engaged cycling community.

Little Bellas

Little Bellas connects girls with the joy of mountain biking. Through programs that facilitate fun, belonging and confidence-building, Little Bellas aims to get more girls on bikes across the country. All girls are welcome, regardless of whether they have never ridden before or have been ripping it up on the two wheels for years. They support girls in overcoming challenges on the trail, building biking skills and being brave on the bike.

IMBA

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is the worldwide leader in mountain bike advocacy, and the only organization in the U.S. focused entirely on trails and access for mountain bikers in all parts of the country. Since 1988, IMBA has taught and encouraged low-impact riding, grassroots advocacy, sustainable trail design, innovative land management practices and cooperation among trail user groups. IMBA U.S. is a national network of local groups, individual riders and passionate volunteers working together for the benefit of the entire community.

World Bicycle Relief aims to reach 1M bikes distributed and 5M individuals empowered by 2025.
